The short version

Audio Simple processes sound entirely on your iPhone. The app collects no personal data. It has no account, no servers, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and it sends nothing from your microphone anywhere.

Who we are

Audio Simple is provided by Lunana Global Inc., d/b/a Audio Simple, 555 Burrard St, Vancouver, BC V7X 1M5, Canada. We are responsible for this policy. Contact: hello@audiosimple.io.

What the app collects: nothing

We do not collect, store or receive any data from the Audio Simple app. There are no user accounts, and the app contains no analytics, advertising, crash-reporting or other third-party tracking software.

Microphone

Audio Simple asks for microphone access because that is how it works: it picks up the sound around you, makes voices clearer and plays them into your wired earbuds as it happens. The sound is processed in your iPhone's memory and discarded as it plays. It is never uploaded, shared, sold or used to train anything, and the app works without an internet connection.

The app saves a recording only if you tap the optional "Record 15 s diagnostic" button in Settings › Advanced, which exists for troubleshooting. The clip stays on your iPhone. Deleting the app deletes it.

You can turn microphone access off at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Microphone. The app cannot work without it.

Information stored on your iPhone

Your settings, such as speech boost and microphone choice, are stored on your iPhone only. We cannot see them. They are removed when you delete the app.

Purchases

Subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple through your Apple ID. We do not receive your name, payment details or Apple ID. Apple's privacy policy applies to purchases.

If you have chosen in iOS to share analytics with app developers, Apple may give us aggregated App Store statistics and crash reports. They do not identify you, and we use them only to fix problems.

Health information

Audio Simple does not ask for, collect or store any health information, and it does not use Apple Health.

When you contact us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply to you, keep it only as long as needed to help you, and delete it sooner if you ask. Our email service providers process these messages for us.

This website

audiosimple.io uses no cookies, no analytics and no advertising. Our hosting provider, Vercel, keeps standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver and protect the site, and deletes them on its own schedule.

Sharing and selling

We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not use it for advertising. The service providers named above handle only the data described here and must protect it at least as well as this policy does.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information about you, to object to or restrict its use, and to complain to a data protection authority. Because the app collects nothing, the only information we may hold is an email you sent us. To use any of these rights, write to hello@audiosimple.io.

Children

Audio Simple is not directed at children under 13, and it collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will post the new version here with a new date. If a change affects what the app collects, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. See also our Terms of Use.
